Super Moon for Super Heroes
Dani had been searching half the day for somewhere safe she and Jesse could go to try and find his 'anchor' without having Andrew worry too much about them. Not that he would be worrying about anything once Peter Hale helped him restrain himself for the night. But still, he tended to kick up a fuss about Dani running off with Jesse on wolf nights.
She was far too brave for her own good at times.
But she had found a good place. A cleaned up old den with a shack near it out in the woods. Somewhere she could barricade herself into if she really needed to. She didn't think she would. She was far too confident that Jesse wasn't going to hurt her. Not because she believed she was his true love or something like that, but because Jesse was practically a super hero. He just hadn't realized it yet.
"Hey, Hot Stuff. How's it howling."

"Hey, Hot Stuff. How's it howling."

He's there when she arrives, and if he didn't love her as much as he did, he wouldn't be laughing at that ridiculous pun. "You've been waiting all week to say that, haven't you?"

"You know it, boyscout. I hope you brought your flashlight. Moonlit walks kind of lose their appeal when it's through dense forest." Once again too brave for her own good. She tucks a strand of hair back behind her ear and offers him her other hand in the most casual way she can. One that's easy to pass up on if he's not feeling the hand holding deal.
Dani never did like to make people feel obligated to do anything really. There were always escape routes, even in her simpler gestures. It was as much for other people's comforts as it was her own ego. Like a cat walking off a fall as if nothing happened.
"I dropped a bag off before I came back." One of their small emergency kits of food and supplies. Nothing more than tattered bags they found around town with a bottle of water, tiny amount of snack foods and a couple dry pairs of clothes in various conditions. Maybe a match or two and some ace wrap. They worked with what they could find.

He'd never pass up an option to hold her hand. They were always so casual about things, something he definitely liked. There wasn't any pressure for either of them to be something they weren't when they were around each other, and they were close enough that they could go out and do their own things without getting jealous or angry.
Out comes the flashlight from his back pocket, though he really doesn't need it with his enhanced senses. It's more for her sake than it is his. "Fresh batteries, too." She's prepared, like always, but that doesn't stop him from worrying.
"How far is it into the woods?"

"It's not the Ritz but it's, you know." She shrugged, sticking her other hand in her pocket in her only nervous gesture of the night so far. "Just like camping."

Bundle of nerves doesn't describe him accurately. He's freaked. It was already getting dark enough outside, and he's nowhere near enough in control of himself to think that this was a good idea. This had bad idea written all over it, but life around these parts seemed to be a series of bad idea, so what was adding one more to the list?
"Right, camping." He tries to smile, but it doesn't come out as happy as it should. "Except for the fact that I could potentially kill you. No big deal."

"We'll be careful, everything's going to be fine. You'll see."
She knows it isn't really going to help much but she has to try. If he's all stressed out and worried it'll be harder for both of them to focus. When she pulls away she points to the shack between two of the larger trees in the forest.
"Three star hotel with a view."

He wraps his arms around her, giving the top of her head a kiss. It's not much, but her words help.
He follows her line of sight, nodding slowly. "Let's get going. Moon's coming."
